GWYL IFOR CERI FESTIVAL

Kerry Local History Group organises a festival June 12 - 26 this year to acknowledge the contribution by Rev John Jenkins, “Ifor Ceri“, to Welsh culture and cultural history.
  
Academics Peter Lord and Dr Ffion Mair Jones, and musicians Crasdant, have been invited to research particular aspects of the life and work of this remarkable man. 
 
 The festival programme, timed to coincide with the traditional Kerry Village Eisteddfod,  includes lectures, concert, schools workshops, and exhibition.  A festival menu will be on offer at the local Kerry Lamb.
 
 This project has received funding through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
